Creole Tomato Festival this weekend, 6/11-6/13

The 24th annual Creole Tomato Festival will take place this weekend in the French Market. The FREE event honors the Creole tomato and features live music, a parade, cooking demonstrations, kids activities and lots of great cuisine. Some of this year’s performers include Fredy Omar con su Banda, Preservation Hall Stars, Thelonious Monk Institute Ensemble and Treme Brass Band. The Creole Tomato Festival is part of the “Three Festivals, One Weekend” which includes the Louisiana Seafood Festival and the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival.
