Great American Seafood Cook-off on 8/07

Head to the Ernest Morial Convention Center on 8/07 at 11:30 a.m. for the Great American Seafood Cook-off. The event will feature 16 states competing for the title of “King or Queen of American Seafood” (yeah, we all know that’s Louisiana!). There will also be the Louisiana Seafood Soiree on 8/08 from noon until 3:30 p.m. where four Louisiana culinary schools will compete in a cook-off using Louisiana seafood. There will also be a variety of panel discussions and appearances by Chef John Folse and TV host Jeff Corwin. Tickets are only $5 per person and all funds go to benefit the Louisiana Restaurant Association Scholarship Fund. For more information, visit the web site.
