When the 4th annual Mundial of Capoeira event comes to New Orleans this weekend there will be a number of public events to witness Brazilian martial arts and dancing.

Head to the corner of Frenchmen Street and Chartres on June 17 from 8-10 p.m. for a Street Roda of capoeira, an art that is part dancing, part martial arts. There will be an after-party at Maison starting at 10 p.m.

On Saturday, June 18, you can check out the Capoeira Show & Cultural Festival at 7 p.m. at Freeman Auditorium on the Tulane campus. There will be dance performances and live music from the northeast part of Brazil.
