New Orleans Seafood Festival: September 9-11

Get out to Lafayette Square on September 9-11, 2011 for the 5th Annual New Orleans Seafood Festival. The event features food, music and a full weekend of New Orleans-style fun.
Some of this year’s performers include: Amanda Shaw, Jon Cleary, Papa Grows Funk, Kermit Ruffins, the Revivalists, Paul Varisco & the Milestones, Rockin’ Dopsie & the Zydeco Twisters and Stooges Brass Band.
There will be a lot of great food available from such participating restaurants as Mr. B’s, Drago’s, 7 on Fulton, Royal House, Saltwater Grill, Galatoire’s and Acme Oyster House. There will also be cooking demonstrations by John Besh, Cory Bahr, Chris Lusk and Brian Landry.
The event is FREE and proceeds from food and beverage sales will go to support the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation in its continuing efforts to offer greater access to culinary education and arts.
