Louisiana Renaissance Festival in Hammond every weekend through December 11

If you ever wanted to take a step back in time, travel out to Hammond for the annual Louisiana Renaissance Festival.

The event has grown so big that it’s essentially a mini theme park with an entire English village featuring over 100 shops, 50 shows and dozens of demonstrations every day. There are shows with comedy, drama and action (including real jousting!) and you can meet characters like peasants, merchants, nobles, kings and even Queen Elizabeth. There are also special theme weekends.

The Louisiana Renaissance Festival runs every Saturday and Sunday through December 11. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit the web site.

  3. Hello mates, how is everything, and what you desire to
say about this article, in my view its in fact amazing for me.

  4. There were many live demonstrations going on. You have a wood carver, cotton weaver, face painting, several musicians playing instruments of the kinds. Several card trick and slight of hand magicians. I have to say that the glass blowing demonstration was one of the best. I’ve saved the best for last. The jousting is probably the number attraction at the festival. The men in armor on the horses with their lances is really a sight to see. They are really doing the real thing trying to knock each other off their house. It’s a great show that happens two times a day. Make sure you see this one! There is a lot more that I have not covered. I will let the pictures and videos do the rest of the talking.

Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems?
A couple of my blog visitors have complained about my
site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome.
Do you have any tips to help fix this issue?
