Celebration in the Oaks is now open in City Park through January 1, 2012.

As one of the most beautiful light displays in the country, it attracts over 100,000 visitors every year and features century-old oak trees adorned in thousands of lights.

There are also a number of exhibits and attractions including a 20-minute Laser Light Show, a ’50s Retro Christmas exhibit,  a Dripping Snow exhibit and the multimedia Cajun Night Before Christmas which puts a local twist on the holiday classic.

The walking tour through the Botanical Gardens features a children’s theme park with rides, live entertainment and great food. Admission is $7 and children under three get in free.
