Eat “cheap” at Antoine’s through September

Antoine’s isn’t exactly a cheap place but they’re offering some special summer lunch and dinner specials that might get you in and out at a “cheaper” price than you would otherwise.

The lunch special is only $20.11 and includes an appetizer (cold shrimp Ravigote, fresh spring salad or alligator bisque), an entree (Royal Pork Tenderloin or Trout Lorraine or Chicken Maria) and a choice of desert (cheesecake, Meringue Glacee or Pecan Bread Pudding). You can also get a daily-featured martini for only $.25.

The dinner special is only $35 and includes a appetizer (alligator soup or Shrimp Regua), an entree (Delmonico Certercut Ribeye or Trout Vin Blanc) and desert (pecan bread pudding or old fashion chocolate sundae).

There is also a Sunday Jazz Brunch Special for $29 that includes an appetizer (crab cake or fresh spring salad), an entree (poached egg cochon or soft shell crab florentine) and a classic cheesecake desert.

Lunch and dinner specials are good through September 2011.

The “Everybody’s All-American: Wines from the USA” theme will feature a reception-style tasting with red, white and sparkling wines made in California, Oregon and Washington State by top producers.
